Eleanor Mary will cruise in home waters from April to June and then take part in Cutty Sark Tall Ships 2001 to Belgium, Norway and Denmark.  She will return to England to take part in the America's Cup 150th Jubilee Regatta and the Portsmouth International Festival of the Sea.  She will complete her season in the Solent and in the English Channel coasts of Normandy, Britanny and the South Coast of England.

We have spaces for volunteers on Cutty Sark Tall Ships 2001 on the voyages from Cowes to Antwerp and Alesund and from Bergen to Esbjerg and back to Cowes.  Crew on either of these voyages may be able to sign on for the cruise from Alesund to Bergen.

-   young men or women aged 17 - 25 as trainees or watch leaders, and

-   persons with experience at least equivalent to RYA Coastal Skipper, to sign on as mate.

Tall Ships Races offer gap year and summer vacation students a wonderful chance to gain experience
towards becoming real seamen and adventurers.

Eleanor Mary's sailing season 2001

April to June,  Short cruises of a weekend to five days in the Solent, English Channel and Channel Islands.

June 16,  Island Sailing Club Round the Island Race.  Spaces especially available for Sea View and Royal Thames Yacht Club members and Cutty Sark Tall Ships 2001 crew.

June 22 - 24,  Royal Thames Yacht Club Cumberland Regatta.  Spaces available for young members of the RTYC.

July 2 - July 16,  Cruise from Cowes to Antwerp and Cutty Sark Tall Ships 2001 race from Antwerp to Alesund

July 16 - 29,  Celebrations in Alesund, cruise through the fjords to Bergen and celebrations in Bergen.

July 30 - August 12, Cutty Sark Tall Ships 2001 race from Bergen to Esbjerg, celebrations in Esbjerg and cruise to Cowes.

August 19 - 25,  America's Cup Jubilee Regatta in the Solent with Eleanor Mary racing in the Classic Boats and Spirit of Tradition class.

August  21,  Race around the Isle of  Wight celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the success of the schooner yacht America.

August 25 - 27,  Portsmouth International Festival of the Sea.

August 26 or 27,  Solent Old Gaffers' Association Annual Old Gaffers' Race.

September to November,   Short cruises of a weekend to five days in the Solent, English Channel and Channel Islands, maybe going as far as Brittany.
